: January First Friday Webinar – Navigating ‘No Frills’: Advisor Bootcamp
Meeting Date: 01/13/2012
Meeting Time: 10:00 AM US/Pacific
January’s First Friday Webinar features Advisor Extraordinaire Shelly Clark, Assistant Director of Residence Life at University of Hawai’i, Hilo. While it may seem like a simple task, advising the delegation for the PACURH No Frills Conference is not always straightforward. There are so many details to manage! Bid intents, writing bids, registration, payment, PACURH/NACURH Policy, ranking bids, understanding the regional legislation, regional finance, how to vote, making the best decision on conference host sites, managing group dynamics, and selection of the Regional Board of Directors. Not to mention, you need to help your students manage all of your institutional policies around conference travel, payment, registration, and risk management before you can ever leave your campus. (I am already tired! How about you?)
While this webinar will focus on helping you manage and understand all of the details surrounding the PACURH No Frills Conference, it will also give you tips for successful advising and conference attendance – no matter what conference you and your students may be attending.
