Professional Development Committee

Purpose: Provide professional development opportunities, beyond conferences, to all levels and functional areas within the housing profession.

Core Objectives:

  • Coordinate professional development opportunities that engage a variety of members in different functional areas.
  • Solicit and encourage host institutions throughout the region to present regional drive-ins covering a variety of state and provinces.

 Suggested objectives of this committee include (but are not limited to):

  • Explore the possibility of implementing/hosting Training Institutes or themed pre-conference sessions
  • Creates needs assessment tool to understand the professional development needs of members ranging by functional area and professional experience.
  • Create/update sustainable tools and resources to support institutions in hosting a drive-in conference
