Communications Committee

Purpose: Provide content and means for continual communication among members throughout the region, beyond the annual conference. This committee supports the Soundings blog, the website, the listserv, and other social media initiatives.

Core Objectives:

  • Generate social media content that informs and engages the membership
  • Maintain and encourage the use of the listserv
  • Generate monthly website content updates that informs and engages the membership
  • Help generate and solicit content for the Soundings blog
  • Host monthly virtual roundtable discussions
  • Develop and implement a plan to increase member access to information related to less represented focus areas (ie. operations and facilities, international issues, etc.) through the Soundings, webinars, and conferences

We’re recruiting for two co-chairs! 

We’re excited to bring back our Communications Committee with new projects and energy! The Communications Committee is looking for a co-chair!

The Social Media Toolkit

The purpose of this toolkit is to expand upon knowledge of how social media can add value to your work, introduce you to new social media platforms, provide ideas and tips on how to make the most of your social media experience and connect with other members, and to explore ways to increase your social media presence and network.
