The NWACUHO Website Administrator works to support the mission of NWACUHO by exploring, developing, and implementing various web-based services, programs, and information to members of the NWACUHO association and executive board in a timely fashion through the NWACUHO website.
Goals for this position include:
- Providing continuous design and informational updates and additions to the NWACUHO website
- Creating a website that is informative and comprehensive, navigationally easy and intuitive to use
- Managing the NWACUHO website
- Implementing NWACUHO’s plan for internet service to the association
Who is the successful website administrator?
The NWACUHO website administrator is not required to have strong IT/IS skills. However, s/he should enjoy solving problems and working independently as well as in a team. Good management skills are helpful, as is the ability to explain and recommend web solutions to non-technical people. S/he should be self-directed and have an interest in developing and maintaining a topnotch website. Desirable skills include:
- Organizational and personal skills to work effectively with NWACUHO colleagues.
- A strong design sense along with a methodical attention to detail.
- Ability and desire to work as a team member with minimal supervision.
Specific position tasks include:
- Determining, organizing, and maintaining website architecture/directory structures.
- Integrating multimedia, database or other applications int0 the website as appropriate.
- Maintaining currency of website information.
- Insuring uniformity of design and accuracy of all pages within the website.
- Troubleshooting problems associated with web pages.
- Designing and developing individual web pages that promote NWACUHO programs and services.
