Residence Life Manager at University of British Columbia – Vancouver Campus

Residence Life Manager
Reference: 29719
Closing Date: May 10, 2018

Residence Life Managers (RLMs) at UBC are directly responsible for establishing a residence climate that facilitates a student-focused approach to service and support. In addition to the staff that they manage, RLMs advise and influence all aspects of service delivery within their assigned residence area; this includes residence dining, facilities and building services, and front desk services. With a 12,000 bed Student Housing operation, RLMs at UBC manage communities of 1200 to 2000 residents (including residence conduct and on-call responsibilities)and provide an enriched workplace experience for the 25 to 50 student staff on their team. The RLM position offers an ideal opportunity for a residence life professional looking to expand their scope of responsibility and touch point with other aspects of a student housing operation. We are seeking candidates with at least one year of professional experience, demonstrated ability to lead and inspire staff, a good understanding of student development and Residence Life, and a keen interest in complex problem solving. This is a full time, live in position – we are currently offering a one year contract with opportunity for renewal.

We would be glad to connect candidates interested in either of these positions with a current staff member for an informational interview. Please be in touch with Joey Auffray (joey.auffray@ubc.ca) or Tiffany Mintah (tiffany.mintah@ubc.ca).
