Residence Life Program within Ancillary Services is currently seeking a Part-time (20 hours per week) Sessional Residence Life Coordinator starting in July.

This is a sessional position and will have up to a two-month lay off period in the summer.  This position reports to the Supervisor, Residence Education. The primary purpose of the Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) position is to plan, implement and critically analyze the Residence Education components of Residence Services’ operations. In particular, the RLC supports student success by fostering healthy and engaging student communities, connecting students with various resources and the broader campus, and holding accountable students who disrupt or undermine those efforts. The RLC is primarily responsible for Residence Education Team (RET) operations in an assigned building or area. The RLC also shares responsibility with peers for RET operations that span multiple buildings or areas.

Due to the nature of Residence Education operations, some early morning, late evening, overnight, weekend and holiday work is required. Workloads are heavier at peak periods, especially mid-March through mid-April and mid-August through mid-September. The RLC must stay on campus in a unit provided by Residence Services while on call. The RLC may choose to live in an assigned unit while employed in this specific position; in that case, the RLC is provided a taxable benefit for housing.
