Area Coordinator at University of Idaho

The University of Idaho is seeking applicants for our Area Coordinator position within our Housing & Residence Life department. Housing & Residence Life serves approximately 1,800 students in both its residence halls and university apartments. Collectively we employ 55 student staff members. The primary focus of our department is student success and retention to the university and we are committed to changing students’ lives.

Founded in 1889, the University of Idaho is one of only 72 land-grant research universities in the United States. Our campus is home to more than 11,000 students in 85 unique undergraduate majors. UI is a leader in student-centered learning and excels at interdisciplinary research, service to community, advancement of diversity, citizenship and global outreach.

The University of Idaho is located in the beautiful town of Moscow, ID, which is home to 25,000 residents, located only 8 miles away from Pullman, WA, population 31,000. Moscow is a community with an amazing downtown, comprised of local restaurants and shopping locations. Moscow is also a great place for people who love outdoor adventure close to many hiking and biking trails.  Moscow is located approximately 5 ½ hours from Glacier National Park and 8 ½ hours from Yellowstone National Park, allowing for a great long weekend getaway. In addition to outdoor adventure, Moscow is located 5 hours away from Seattle, WA and 6 hours away from Portland, OR. Both Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene, ID are located 1 ½ hours from the Palouse and provide easy access to shopping and entertainment.
