Responsibilities The Residence Life office at Lethbridge College requires a highly organized, student-focused individual to coordinate the occupancy of all Lethbridge College residence facilities. The Resident and Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for maintaining maximum occupancy in residence during the academic year, which involves the processing of new applications, assigning rooms, and coordinating waitlists through the utilization of Adirondack residence software. The coordinator is also responsible for efficient and effective communication to all residents throughout the school year via email, social media platforms, and in-person meetings.
Job Duties The successful incumbent will supervise a team of resident assistants (RAs) whereby support and guidance is provided to the RAs needing assistance with the resolution of residence issues and concerns. The coordinator will also assist the RAs in planning area-specific, as well as residence-wide events throughout the academic year. The coordinator will work with other college departments to provide educational events to the residents in order to enhance the overall Residence Life experience.
The Resident and Guest Services Coordinator is also responsible for organizing the summer hotel season whereby group bookings and room assignments must be managed.
This position requires the successful incumbent to provide on-call duties.
Required Qualifications • Minimum Education: Diploma in business or other related field
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a post-secondary residence department required, combination of education and experience may be considered
• Proven team leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster relationships
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office; ability to learn and operate residence software
• Knowledgeable in all social media platforms
