University of Idaho, Assistant Director of Facility Planning and Design
University Housing at the University of Idaho currently is recruiting an Assistant Director for Facility Planning and Design.
Under the general direction of, and reporting to, the Director of University Housing this position is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and managing the operations, maintenance, and facilities services of University Housings’ operated infrastructure, buildings, and related special projects. This position works collaboratively with the Assistant Director for Housing Facilities to develop long-range plans for facilities operations to provide a high quality student centered residential housing facilities. These responsibilities include fulfilling the full range of managerial and oversight services during all phases of planning, design and construction of major new facilities, major renovations, other renovations, interior design, landscape and exterior projects, safety/security/ADA compliance projects and utility development and maintenance projects over a variety of project delivery methods ranging from in-house design and construction to management of contract architectural, engineering, and construction services.
This position also insures organizational compliance with laws, policies, and procedures for a variety of functional areas including budget compliance, purchasing, personnel, capital improvements, housing, and facilities.
