PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Resident Director (RD) is a 12-month live-in professional staff position that works closely with the Housing Coordinator and Director of Student Life to ensure a quality living environment for on-campus students based on an academic success theme. In addition to collaborating with other members of the Student Life staff, the Resident Director supervises a Resident Assistant (RA) staff, with the goal of providing a supportive environment where students can live and learn. The RD must be committed to providing students with the tools they need to experience personal growth and to helping students create a sense of community.
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Minimum one year of residence life experience.
3. Must have skills and experience working with diverse populations.
