Oregon State University Department of University Housing & Dining Services (UHDS) is seeking applicants to fill one or more UHDS Professional Faculty, Resident Director Positions. Residential Education Staff are committed to empowering residence hall students and staff to create safe, caring, and inclusive communities. The Resident Director (RD) is a 52 week live-in, professional responsible for the overall administration of one or more residence halls housing 200-500 students. The Resident Director supervises undergraduate students in creating safe, caring, and inclusive communities by demonstrating safe, caring, and inclusive supervision, community development, student development, leadership development, administration, and departmental responsibilities. Typically, an Assistant Director supervises the Resident Director.

Expected annual salary is $28,000 pending budget approval (based on 12-month appointment) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Partially furnished apartment

o OSU may approve a small pet (cat, dog, or fish) for residency in staff apartments – subject to UHDS Staff Pet Policy.

o Utilities including heat, electricity, water, local phone service, expanded basic cable, access to OSU computer network and internet.

  • Residential Education Staff dining plan when dining centers in operations (may be divided with spouse/domestic partner)
